Nancy Walbank
Nancy Walbank is the author of two middle reader books on religious education themes, ‘The Change Makers’ and ‘Mia and St Bernadette’. She began her teaching career as an early years teacher in Leeds. When she moved to Lancashire, she started working in the Catholic sector and taught across the primary age range as a class teacher, deputy and head. She completed her PhD in Religious Studies through Lancaster University in 2009 and has worked in secondary and university education. Nancy worked as part of the Diocese of Lancaster Education Service from 2012. She went on to work for the national Catholic Education Service as an education adviser. Now, she is the series editor and a writer for ‘Lighting the Path’, a religious education resource for Catholic primary schools published by Oxford University Press in June 2025.
