About Woman Alive

Woman Alive is the original UK monthly woman’s magazine specifically for Christian women. It covers all denominations and seeks to inspire, encourage and resource women in their faith, helping them to grow in their relationship with God and providing practical help and a biblical perspective on the issues impacting their lives.

Founded as Christian Woman in 1982, Woman Alive is published by the charity Christian Publishing & Outreach, registered in England & Wales (Charity no 221462). Company limited by guarantee No 588731. VAT no 860 219 341.
Registered office: CPO, Garcia Estate, Canterbury Road, Worthing BN13 1BW, UK.

CPO is a charity, which exists to support the Church in the UK with communications and outreach.  We are at an exciting stage in our history – we turn 60 this year – and have seen a period of growth and change as we deliver resources and campaigns which have real national impact.

As a member of a small senior team, comprising the Chief Executive and two other Directors, you will need to be able to combine strategic and spiritual leadership for this organisation as it develops partnerships with key national church institutions and major Christian charities.

Our successful candidate will have strong financial management skills and experience, whilst being able to deliver effective project management in other key operational areas such as Systems, IT and HR.  The ability to develop effective reporting processes will aid planning and allow the Board of Trustees make informed decisions.

Details of how to apply and more information about the role and CPO are included in the application document, which can be downloaded here.  The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 26 June.

Rare opportunities available to join the team on our Christian magazines
CPO (Christian Publishing & Outreach) has two part-time roles available on Woman Alive and INSPIRE magazines. Both are unique resources serving the UK Church.

INSPIRE is a good news magazine with a readership of 150,000+, published up to 10 times a year, and is distributed free to churches. The Inspire Awards are hosted regularly in Parliament, supporting grassroots Christian action to improve local communities.
Email hr@cpo.org.uk for more information and job descriptions. Closing date for applications: 31 May 2017.
